MobileDrive, a joint venture between Stellantis, one of the world's leading automakers mobility providers, and Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and leading technological solutions provider, has opened a new research and development centre in Bengaluru, India.
Siemens Digital Industries Software announced today that MobileDrive has adopted a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach to support its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) development, using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and its comprehensive digital twin technology. By leveraging Siemens’ robust expertise in the digital thread, MobileDrive has accelerated its progress to build the next-generation autonomous driving systems and helped to achieve the industry-leading quality of the products.
MobileDrive, a subsidiary of FIH Mobile and a member of Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), today (Dec. 7th) announced Dr. Winston Hsu, a professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering in National Taiwan University and also the founder of NVIDIA AI Lab project, as Chief Technology Officer. MobileDrive has achieved great progress on in-vehicle infotainment system and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in recent years, and will integrate Hsu’s expertise in AI field to disrupt the traditional automotive industry.

The first 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan Exhibition hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council was held from October 20th to 22nd. MobileDrive, which specializes in the research and development of in-vehicle systems and AI technology, exhibited the latest Smart Cockpit and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) solutions in the MIH exhibition area, attracting many industry visitors to further inquiry.
Foxconn Group held 2021 Hon Hai Tech Day on October 18th. In addition to displaying three new electric vehicles, it also held a forum on digital transformation and electric vehicle software development in the afternoon. The forum invited AutoCore.ai founders Zhang Yang, Tier IV founder and chief technology officer Shinpei Kato and the chief technology officer of MobileDrive, Winston Hsu. They shared the future vehicle software plans of Foxconn and its strategic partners to the world, including platform, data, algorithms and applications.
