Through the fusion of connected cars, service ecosystem, and continuous iterative update, MobileDrive aims to provide the best smart travel solution for end customers.

Aiming to create an AI smart cockpit that understands you best, MobileDrive strives for the most personal and personalized cockpit experiences.

Imagine that you just returned to your car. You could use simple gestures to adjust the lights, sound, air conditioning, and windows in the car.
Then, your car seems to understand your mind and what you want to do now, as it lights up the most suitable atmosphere light for you in time.
Moreover, your car adjusts the tilt angle of your favorite seat carefully, and finally, locks the door along the way.
All the above will not be just an imagination but can be fully realized by the Smart Cockpit platform of MobileDrive!

In addition to ensuring safety and reliability, MobileDrive pays attention to bring personalization into the car, the key being the introduction of advanced AI technology. The various sensors inside and outside the car can provide information of who is driving and who are the passengers in this car, as enabled by DMS and OMS. The MobileDrive system has implemented deep learning technology for all core applications that require high accuracy and high stability.

▲ MobileDrive's automotive DEMO host has combined with the DMS/OMS system, and can realize AI image recognition, analyze in-car behaviors, and provide a personalized cockpit experience.

In the future, MobileDrive will also focus on the following developments. Utilizing AI image recognition technology to analyze scenes, objects, or behaviors inside and outside the car to provide smart reminder services. Gestures, physiological status monitoring, emotion recognition, and eye tracking will also be integrated as part of a multimodal interactive experience. Based on historical and real-time data inside and outside the car, suitable infotainment content or services will be recommended to drivers and passengers.

MobileDrive ADAS System: 5R1V1C Configuration Layout Enablement of L2+ autonomous driving at specific routes

The in-house developed L2+ ADAS from MobileDrive aims to assist drivers to a much more convenient driving experience, which provides customers with safety-first, people-centered, and control-assisted hardware and software system solutions. The system integrates a forward-facing ADAS smart camera, forward-facing 77G long range radar, four 77G short range corner radars, and in-house developed ADAS domain controller hardware to be a 5R1V1C driver assistance system.

MobileDrive introduced a demo clip at the venue (refer to the video below). It tells the L2+ ADAS system to drive on its own for 113 kilometers in specific highway/freeway routes. The system core technologies from MobileDrive comprises ADAS sensor fusion, decision making, vehicle dynamic control algorithms as well as simulation, calibration and verification capabilities up to vehicle level. The system assists the driver via functions including Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Following Control (LFC), Turn Signal Initiative Lane Change Control (LCC), and Intelligent Speed Assistant Plus (ISAP). Furthermore, in specific routes L2+ driving capability can be realized after Driver Monitoring System and High-Definition Maps are cross checked. The system is also equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking system (AEB), Lane Keeping Assistance system (LKA), and Lane Change Assist system (LCA) for better driving safety to protect both driver and other road users. From the video can tell that the system performs well and steadily on vehicle longitudinal and lateral control under different driving scenarios.

▲ MobileDrive video shows L2+ driving assistance

Besides, another key factor for realizing L2+ ADAS system can be also seen in the video, the User Interface. MobileDrive develops an IVI User Interface specifically for the system with the design concept focusing on the interpretation of real-time surrounding information as perceived by installed sensors. The UI can deliver ADAS control decisions to the driver and increase the driving confidence due to clear interaction between the system and the driver. Furthermore, the handover mechanism before system deactivation is especially emphasized for the UI design. L2+ system shall avoid abrupt deactivation unless critical failure happens, and MobileDrive has defined driver takeover behavior as the system safe state. For this purpose, the DMS system from MobileDrive is utilized to ensure driver concentrating on the traffic while using assistance functions.

Tailored for Asian Traffic Environment and Driving Culture , Software Compliant with ISO26262 ASIL D Development Process

In the past, ADAS usually performed unsteadily or easily deactivated when lane information was incomplete, resulting in an uncomfortable riding experience. In order to provide a more comfortable riding experience, MobileDrive continuously improves the ADAS capabilities by leveling up L2+ system to L2.9, which takes more localized factors into consideration. For instance, drivers in Asia would intentionally veer to the other side of the lane to create more lateral space to the truck in the adjacent lane for incident avoidance. ADAS from MobileDrive takes the same perspective and is able to smoothly control the vehicle for a slight lateral deviation under high speed condition, and returns to center of the lane when safe. In addition, the system provides responsive control feedback in matters of environmental condition. When there is a curved road ahead and the vehicle is in high speed, the system would adequately reduce vehicle speed and reaccelerate to preset value after passing the curve. Moreover, whenever coming across a slow-moving preceding vehicle, the system would automatically change lane for overtaking and return back to its original lane under safe condition. The whole system is fully compliant with ISO 26262 functional safety ASIL D development process.

MobileDrive strives to enhance both smart cockpit and ADAS capabilities with AI technology, and combine service ecosystems inside and outside the vehicle to enable the third living space for the next generation.
